Almond Butter Cookies


0.5 cup butter (softened)
2 cup almond butter
1 to 1½ cup maple syrup (depending on taste)
2½ cup whole wheat pastry flour
½ tsp. sea salt¼ tsp.cinnamon
35-50 almonds

Recipe (makes 35-50 cookies):

1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Stir butter into almond butter with a fork. Mix in a maple syrup.
3. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and cinnamon. Add to wet ingredients and mix well until flour is thoroughly moistened.
4. Drop teaspoon fulls of dough onto lightly buttered cookie sheet spacing them 1 inch apart. Flatten cookies slightly with a fork dipped in flour or press a whole almond into the center of each cookie.
5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
