Almond Crunch or Almond Candy

Ingredients

        1 cup granulated sugar

        1/2 cup butter or margarine

        1 cup coarsely chopped almond meats

Place butter and sugar in iron skillet and stir until butter melts. Add almonds, stirring constantly, until butter and sugar begin to turn brown (caramelize), and almonds start to turn. Remove from heat and turn-out on ungreased metal cookie sheet or shallow metal pan; let cool and break into bite-size pieces.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS RECIPE WHEN RAINY OR FOGGY!
